My take on things

My Inner Workings

This page is just about me voicing my opinion on some things that drive me batty. I enjoy a good discussion and am always open-minded about my views so a compelling argument as well as solid facts are far more effective with me than simply telling me how stupid I am for disagreeing with you.

  1. Oortcloud,

Your question about ice melting and sea level rise. The problem is not with ice that is already in the water melting (which would not change sea level) but the ice that exists on land which, when it melts or slides into the sea, will raise sea level.

Sorry to take so long to respond to your question…

  3. Religion does not deserve mutual respect. It depends on ignorance and blind acceptance. It is a cancer on society that constantly takes from those that it purports to save. It creates vast groups of people that give up their rational thinking for a story that they’ve either been indoctrinated into or have simply chosen because it sounds good.

Religion offers nothing that cannot be had without it.

The best advice I can give you to realize the truth of religion is to study the bible, contemplate the stories, understand the god that is in there, and finally find supporting evidence of Christ outside the bible. Also look at other religions, from those that are simple splinters of common Christianity to completely different ones such as Islam, Judaism, etc. And finally, look at the ancient stories of religion and gods and see how the stories of the bible existed long before the stories of the bible were written.
